Recognising the nation's top apprenticeship employers in 2023
Register now to be notified when entries open for next year's 2024 rankings.
The Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers celebrates England's outstanding apprenticeship employers, recognising their commitment to creating new apprenticeships, the diversity of their apprentices, and the number of apprentices who successfully achieve their apprenticeships.
And the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers features the country's leading small and medium-sized employers that offer apprenticeship programmes.
First compiled in 2020, the prestigious annual employer rankings have been developed by the Department of Education, in partnership with High Fliers Research, who independently assess and rank the nation's top apprenticeship employers.
In 2023, more than 800 apprenticeship employers from a wide range of industries and business sectors entered for the rankings – from engineering, manufacturing and technology, to accounting & professional services, health & social care and retailing.
Entries for the rankings opened during National Apprenticeship Week in February and closed on Friday 14th April.
Together, the new rankings showcase the leading apprenticeship employers – large and small – that have done the most to provide apprenticeship opportunities over the past 12 months.
The 2023 rankings were announced during a special live broadcast on Thursday 29th June and a celebration lunch will be held at the House of Commons in the autumn for employers ranked in the new Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers
We are grateful to Investors in People and to UCAS and the University of Nottingham for their support for the launch of this year's rankings.
