The 2024 rankings
The new Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers and Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers for 2024 were announced during a special live TV programme on Thursday 25th July.
The 90-minute TV programme featured a full countdown of the nation’s top apprenticeship employers, specially-filmed showcases of apprenticeship employers featured in the new rankings, plus studio interviews with apprenticeship recruiters and current apprentices.
Special guests on the programme included Baroness Smith, Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships & Higher Education; Kate Ridley-Moy, Director of Apprenticeships at the Department for Education, and Jennifer Coupland, Chief Executive of the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education.
For the fourth year running, the British Army was named the nation’s number one employer in the Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers – and accounting & professional service firm DJH took the top spot in the Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employers for 2024.
The programme was hosted by Martin Birchall, High Fliers Research and Chanise Evans, a former apprentice at the BBC.
